The End of Deputation
Deputation is finally coming to an end; and even though it seems that two and a half years was a long time, I can truly be thankful for everything that God brought me through while traveling. Even in these last three months, I was able to present to a few more churches and bring my support up to 100%, praise the Lord!
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
I was asked recently, “What has been your greatest lesson during this period?” I was able to reply that I have been able to do exactly the ministry God has set for me to do in Romania like teaching, counseling, and simply serving in His church. It is silly how many times a mind, my mind, can doubt even after knowing how God can actually shine through in a service. My favorite lesson was that despite my doubt or insecurities, He still loved me and reassured me in those exact moments. Fellowship with other Christians, even as complete strangers, is refreshing; and that was just one of the gifts God gave me while traveling. I am so thankful for each and every person I was able to meet along the way and for each one of you that especially prays for me and the ministry in Romania.
And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8
I let you know in my last newsletter about my exit interview with BIMI, and now I am approved of moving and will be in Romania as of May 16! My plans for the first few months are to immediately get plugged into the church, especially the ministries and events that will be happening over the summer, enrolling in language school, and preparing for teaching in the next school year at the Bible college. Please pray that moving and settling in will go smoothly.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!
In Christ,
Olivia West
