Spring 2026 Newsletter

The spring semester is coming to an end, and it has been awarding to see how God has answered specific prayers yet again. Next week we are coming to a close of our 4th installment of English club at the church. Our students will be completing their A1 level for language learning. As we progress higher in the language, we are starting to add in more speaking/activity based events. We held one in April to kick us off, but we are wanting to do a family club at least once a month that will include more people from the church. Our first one of these will be May 23. It has been great to see a team form under the direction and vision of my co-teacher, Sarah. We are hoping more people from our church attend, but have also had a few other teachers in the community reach out and advertise.
We have also ended another session of our children’s clubs. As I mentioned in previous newsletters, we were teaching through a children’s adaption of Pilgrim’s Progress. Each month we seemed to have different visitors, so we are hoping to keep in contact with them and see them come consistently.
The college semester ends next week. I am especially thankful for God answering my prayers about how to adapt a more ESL style for composition. Since the students are from various countries, it has been interesting to see how their culture comes out through their written stories and topics, especially of their dreaded historical research paper. In April, we hosted a youth conference with another BIMI missionary as the guest speaker, JJ Spillman. The theme was “Consider Jesus,” and a couple highlighted ideas from the messages include, “Our ability and capacity to love others is directly related to our obedience of Christ,” and “If we have the responsibility of the Great Commission, then we have the God-given capability to fulfill it.”
I’d ask that you pray for several events that we are having these next three weeks and in the upcoming summer: we are currently having a modular course on the “Ministry of the Holy Spirit,” next week we are having a Bible conference alongside our graduation service, and the following week we are having revival service at our church. We have six different weeks of camp this summer, and I am especially praying for the one that is for training those interested in being camp workers. I have also been asked to teach a lesson during one of our teen weeks, and the theme is about being an “Ambassador of Christ.” I really appreciate those I get to work alongside/under at this camp and to see their preparation and prayer in the months to come for the teens that will attend.
