God's Care through Deputation

Holiday Greetings!

Missionaries are told that fall is the busiest time for mission’s conferences and the time to get your schedule most full. I am so thankful that this was the case for me. These last three months have been the fullest for my deputation journey; and I have enjoyed every minute of it, even the long drives. October took me to Kentucky, Ohio, and Pennsylvania; November took me out west, starting in Oklahoma then Arizona; and December had me in New Mexico and Texas.

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant. Psalm 119:76

I have really appreciated getting to meet other missionaries during conferences. I unexpectedly attended one conference that was all missionaries that had been through candidacy school together.

My favorite blessing that God gave me during these months was the churches that were just offering a place to stay were also able to welcome me in to present. God has taken care of me even when I did not plan out certain things and through people I had just met. He surprisingly placed people along my path while sight-seeing or just out and about that have given love offerings or were interested in hearing about the ministry in Romania, like other hikers on a trail, late night shuttle drivers, or other visitors at holiday events.

For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. Psalm 71:5

Even through doubts and frets about my worth, He places circumstances that have allowed me to bring glory to His name, and He has blessed me with things along the journey that I did not even know to pray for. At some locations, I have ran into friends from college and have been able to spend time with them, and at most churches there have been connections either through college or BIMI. 2021 has given me some slow months and some packed months, and even through this, God has enabled me to reach 47% of my support! I'm praying that 2022 will, of course, bring me the rest of the way.

The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. Lamentations 3:25
