Deputation and Camp Ministry Part 2

I am now toward the end of my deputation, which is such an amazing thing to realize! Since October I have been hovering so close to the last percentages I thought I would be done by December. However, I was not able to schedule many meetings during the holiday months.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. Psalm 116:7

In November, I was able to revisit West Coast Baptist College for the mission’s conference at Lancaster Baptist Church. I had always loved these conferences when I was in college, getting to hear about so many different ministries, and now to be a part of it as a missionary was so refreshing. I was able to speak in several classes for kids and ladies, and even spoke in a college girls class. My favorite thing about the conference was personally meeting Edgar and Rosann Feghaly, who had been an influence during my freshman year of college when I surrendered to missions.

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. Psalm 62:1-2

Since I didn’t have meetings scheduled through the new year, I was given a different opportunity that I am so thankful for and was yet another experience that God had given me through deputation to prepare me for ministry that I know I will be involved with in Romania. I had the chance to travel with missionary Lynette Osborn to assist in two weeks of teen camp with Mark and Amy Coffey’s ministry, Camp Rhino in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The Lord used this ministry to bring 25 campers to salvation and I am so glad that I got to be a part of it no matter what I was doing, like helping in the kitchen during boys week, and during girls week as an assistant counselor. One of my favorite testimonies from the week was from a girl in my cabin who enjoyed the environment of getting to talk about the Bible with other girls her age.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3

I have now reached 95% of my support with at least 2 more church meetings and my exit interview with BIMI at the beginning of February. An immediate prayer request is that visa paperwork will run smoothly and to have peace in God’s timing.

The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:25-26

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!

In Christ,

Olivia West

Thank you so much for being interested in the ministry I am involved with in Romania. Deputation was a two and a half year journey, but it was great to see how God provided in many ways. I moved to Romania in May of 2023, and I am excited to be a part of where the Lord is working!
